About me

I am a Feldenkrais® practitioner, 2007, and a Neuromovement® Practitioner (Anat Baniel Method). I completed Anat Baniel's Basic training in 2015, advanced training to work with special needs children in 2012, as well as her programs for Vitality and Anti-aging and High Performers in 2013.

I graduated from University of Alberta with a B.Sc., and a DDS, 1984.

I work in Kelowna at Sandra Bradshaw’s studio. I also work part time in Calgary, Alberta.

My goal is to help you move and feel better through gentle fun movements.

Individual sessions are designed for your unique needs and goals. Through precise gentle movement and skillful touch you will improve function, increase well-being, and discover how to overcome injury. Movement lessons are valuable for children and adults.

Children with conditions such as CP, genetic disorders, autism, and any other brain-body limitation can improve with neuromovement lessons. For more information and videos go to www.anatbanielmethod.com.

Adults with back pain, shoulder pain, movement limitations or brain injury can benefit from individual movement lessons with Susinn.

My movement classes are based on movement lessons developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais. The classes are verbally directed and offer you opportunity to explore unique movement patterns. The classes are called AWARENESS THROUGH MOVEMENT® CLASSES. Awareness is the key to being able to make positive changes to yourself··· and to living a fuller life!

Give the classes a try, Contact me for my current schedule.

Many people suffer from Temporo-mandibular Joint (TMJ) pain and problems with the function of their jaws. The neuromovement approach is a good addition to regular dental and orthodontic treatment. These movement lessons will teach you how to reduce your pain and how to function with more ease and comfort.

Neuromovement® is based in the understanding that movement is the language of the brain. Movement provides the information the brain needs to grow and organize itself. And then the brain organizes all movement, thought, feeling and actions. The brain also creates pain and you can change pain by changing your brain with these lessons.

The human brain is incredibly plastic - it changes throughout our lives and we now know what conditions are necessary to see the changes we want. And these conditions are part of the TMJmoves lessons.

TMJ MOVES is a program designed specifically for people who are having pain and dysfunction with their jaws. Included in this group are people with bruxism or teeth grinding and clenching. This program uses innovative movements done in a very specific way to transform your brain and to get the changes you want in your jaw and TMJ. In these lessons you are verbally guided through movements that are easy and fun to do. Download the recordings on your phone or computer and then you can do them when it is convenient for you.

This program does not replace care and treatment with your professional dental care provider. It is meant to help any traditional treatment.

FIVE TMJmoves thirty minute audio lessons for $50.00 CAD (plus applicable taxes). Please refer to my disclaimer before you make the purchase.

I am available to give presentations to your group whether it is a group of parents or professionals working with special needs children or it is a group of dental professionals interested in finding out how neuromovement lessons can help their patients.

Neuroplasticity is an exciting area that is at the leading edge of therapy and both the Feldenkrais method and the Anat Baniel Method are designed to use neuroplasticity for the clients' benefit.

Here is what Dr. Merzenich has to say about the Anat Baniel Method.

"Baniel has developed powerful, practical strategies for improving your abilities and building a better, stronger brain that are supported by the neuroscience of brain plasticity " - Michael Merzenich, PhD, Neuroscientist, Author of Soft-Wired.
